About Us

My name is Jordan Mitchell and I have lived in Western North Carolina for most of my life. I have been hiking the trails in the area as long as I can remember, and mountain biking since 1996. As for my day job, I serve as a data analyst in downtown Asheville.

I have a beautiful wife, Tasha, and we recently welcomed an addition to our family, Harper Amelia. As she grows older, we look forward to taking her along on our outdoor adventures. My wife keeps me grounded, but also allows me to pursue my passions, for which I am deeply grateful.

I am more than dedicated to bringing quality and detailed information about the trails I visit to anyone who is interested in hiking or biking in Western North Carolina. My goal is to allow folks to pick the perfect destination for outdoor adventure with their own family in mind. As I hike and bike, I carry a camera with me and all of the photographs you see on these sites were taken by me during my travels. I own a Konica Minolta Dimage A2 8.0 megapixel camera.
