The Mountains to Sea Trail comes in from the right and left here, while the blue-blazed Rattlesnake Lodge trail descends straight ahead to reach the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Tanbark Ridge Tunnel. Just left of here is the old tool shed, a spring, and another blue-blazed connector trail which makes a loop with the Mountains to Sea.
